Saving stationery posts or e-mails for resending is an easy process, but cannot be done in the the way you would think. The idea is to retain all the graphics and sound goodies so that you can reuse it for yourself. Where people get into trouble is to use the SAVE AS STATIONERY item on the Outlook Express toolbar. This WILL NOT WORK to accomplish our task. Try this method. Once you've done it a few times, it will come naturally.
First, save and modify the stationery e-mail or post you want to reuse:
1. In Outlook Express, display the post or e-mail in the Preview window.
2. While selected, click on FILE|SAVE AS (on the toolbar) and save it to a convenient folder. Do not use SAVE AS STATIONERY. If you wish to reuse a newsgroup post as a regular e-mail, the post must be renamed so that it has an .EML file extension. Ignore the warning message about renaming the file extension.
3. Now open the saved file in your text editor.
4. Except for the blue X-Unsent: 1, you will see something that looks like the following:
X-Unsent: 15. Notice again the line that says: X-Unsent: 1. It will not be there in your original, but this is the line which you must add to the file to make it resendable. It can be added at the beginning as the first statement. Be sure to include the space between the colon and the 1.

6. Resave the file.
Second, how to resend it:
7. Click on the saved file and a "new message" box will be launched. Delete the pre-existing text, if any, (carefully) so as not to delete any graphics or other format items. Then type your own text and send. You may preview your finished e-mail or post by clicking on the PREVIEW tab at the bottom of the new message box (be sure to have SOURCE EDIT checked in the VIEW toolbar item at the top of the new message box).
In Summary
SAVE AS STATIONERY will only save the simplest stationery. This method will allow you to resend any stationery.
