Strip Tease is a program which automates the script stripping process. It also prepares saved stationery for resending.
Strip Tease 1.13
With the 2002 new year and this new program, I'm hoping to forever end the task of manually stripping scripts.
Strip Tease will automatically strip a script for you. All irrelevant <BASE>, <META>, and <!DOCTYPE> tags will be removed, the script will be "prettyed-up", and the content-id (CID) numbers will be converted into file paths and file name information. The script will be saved to a folder of your choice. If you also save the other content items to the same folder, you will have a script that is immediately useable for stationery or modification by yourself.
Additionally, save all embedded content right from Strip Tease itself, including images, sounds, Flash, stripped scripts and plain text content.
Strip Tease also converts stationery posts and e-mail for easy resending - taking a previously-saved stationery (newsgroup post or e-mail) and resaving it as if it had never been sent. Later, in Windows Explorer, you may then click on the file and it will launch into the Outlook Express compose window ready to send as an e-mail. This is handy for resending stationery posts or other received e-mail to friends without having to do modifications.
A complete help file is included.
Download Strip Tease 65k
Unzip the ZIP file supplied and save the unzipped files to a new folder. Click on the EXE to run Strip Tease. To uninstall, simply delete the files and folder. Please read the help.txt file for help in using Strip Tease.
Note that to view or work on a stationery in Strip Tease, you must have previously saved it. You can save newsgroup or e-mail stationery out of Outlook Express or News Surfer. In Outlook Express, select the stationery header right in the preview window, then click on FILE|SAVE AS and save the stationery as a .NWS file (if from a newsgroup) or .EML file (if an e-mail). From News Surfer, save the stationery right out of the Message View window by clicking on the SAVE POST button.
This is a Visual Basic program, so requires you to have the current VB6 Runtime files. You do have them, right? Most of you have them already, but if you get a program error, go to the VB Runtime Files page. They can be downloaded from there.
