the zipplayer

The zipplayer is a small and colorful scripted-HTML media player you can use in your stationery for streaming audio media. You must have at least Windows Media Player 7.1 installed to use it.

zipplayer works with most non-processor intensive stationeries and can even be used in popup scripts (player is displayed in the preview window). It will not work with Flash scripts. The player allows for lots of customization. You can make your own buttons and use your own background, specify one or any number of songs for the playlist, change marquee message, etc.

Installing:

Create a new folder for zipplayer. Unzip the file package there.

Load zipplayerstationery.htm AND embeddedzipplayercode.txt into your text editor. Change the background image file path to a background image of your choice. Now change all the rest of the file paths to match the folder you just created. You will only need to do this second step once. The background image file path will need to be changed each time you use a different background image.

Now you can click on the zipplayerstationery.htm file to test the player in IE. If you have specified the player background image file path correctly, the background will be visible. Player size is 138px wide and 58px high. Make your background the same size unless it is tiled.

Using:

To use zipplayer in a stationery, prior to sending the post open the zipplayerscript.txt in your text editor and specify your playlist and player options, then resave. Now, copy the embeddedzipplayercode.txt to the clipboard and paste it into your script. The best place to paste is at the bottom, just before the closing </BODY> tag. Load your stationery into OE and preview it to make sure it works, then send.
